JACS 11

He used to think that if he'd see Singto again, he'd get the closure he needed to finally move on. Krist thought the only reason why he couldn't let go of the older male was because he was his first love. The one that got away.

But he was wrong.

While staring at his ex as Bright introduced him to Krist and their friends, he realized that he could not let go because he still loves him.

The feeling never lessened nor did it fade away.

"I'm Wayo. It's very nice to meet you! I'm happy to finally meet Bright's friends. My country is not very open with gay relationships and surrounding myself with such open-minded people is great!"

Wayo. Suradej Pinnirat is an only son of Bright's godfather who happens to own a big company distributing automobiles. A rich heir.

A perfect fit for Singto.

Standing right across the couple, Krist can only clench his teeth and bear with the clenching ache in his chest.

What was the pain for? Was it because he found out that Singto now legitimately belonged to someone else? Or was it because Singto has moved on while he kept on holding on?

"You're Krist, right? So pretty!"

Rome's eyes begged him to please hold out some more. And he would. Krist would disregard his internal bleeding and act like nothing was wrong.

He'd rather kill himself than endanger the business his friends worked their asses off.

"Thank you." You're very pretty as well. All soft and cuddly with that innocent air surrounding you.

"Don't mind Krist. He's not much of a talker." Tutah inserted.

Prem nodded his head. "He's quite an introvert so let's just leave him and his programming. Do you have any plans to tour around? Tutah and I can be your guide."

Wayo clapped his hands. "I actually have plans but not with Sing. You see, he's workaholic and he'd prefer spending his time looking at stocks rather than beautiful sceneries."

"No problem. As Prem said, we'll show you around. Who's the friend?"

A faint blush bloomed on the young male's cheeks. "Godt. We've been friends since forever."

Godt, huh. That name sounds fam-

A sudden realization kicked in. Eyes searching on Wayo's neck, he found what he was looking for.

The same ring.

Would it be too much if he'd accuse Singto's fiancé of cheating just because he had the same promise ring around his neck as 'Godt' who offered him a ride days ago?

"Excuse me. I need to fix some bugs." Krist said before turning on his heels.

"Bugs?" He heard Wayo ask.

"That's a term used by ITs when ref-"

When he could not hear Tutah's voice anymore, he took a deep breath and sighed. He felt so drained after a few minutes in Singto's presence.

Emotions barely controlled, he drowned himself with work until it was time to go home. His stomach was growling in hunger since he skipped coffee break as well as lunch time.

Krist needed to eat something. "Maybe I should have something deliv-"

"Done?"

From his phone's screen, Krist's raised his stunned gaze to meet Singto's arresting ones. "I'll drive you back."

He opened his mouth to turn down the offer but he changed his mind. "Okay."

They do have a couple of things to talk about.

I missed him.

Singto avidly watched as Krist took a big bite off his drumstick. The way the younger male chewed and swallowed the piece of white meat made him wish they were in a private room instead of a commoner's restaurant. How he'd love to hand feed his little turtle and laugh with like they used to do before.

"Thanks for dinner." Krist's voice brought him back to the present.

"How have you been?"

"Good. How about you?"

"I've been better."

Again, Silence.

"Krist, I-"

"This will be the last time I'll be with you like this." The sudden announcement took him off guard. "Whatever we had before, let's just consider it as nothing but paid sex. You did spend your money on me and I can't say I didn't enjoy it."

Enjoyed what exactly? Their time together or the luxury he offered? Listening to Krist disregard the time they spent together made him angry. How could he easily throw away what they had?! They were so good together. So damn good Singto couldn't believe Krist stayed with him only because of his money.

If he didn't read that damn group chat, he'd never believe it.

"I don't want to cause you any problems. Wayo is . . . Beautiful. He's perfect for you."

The words were said in a very blunt way and Singto couldn't hear a single hint of emotion on Krist's voice. When did his turtle become so bland? He could still remember how Krist's eyes would glimmer in happiness every time he sees something interesting or fun.

He'd always look at Singto with eyes full of love.

At the wedding, he saw the same impassive expression. While he was burning with pure jealousy as another man touched what he owns, Krist seemed to be so far away he didn't even know someone had his lips on him. Witch irked Singto more.

Even though the younger male had always been cool and collected, he was an emotional fool who couldn't hide his true feelings in his eyes. Only one look and Singto knew what the younger male was feeling.

"Would it be too much if I ask not to see you again?"

Swallowing the lump in his throat, Singto asked; "What to you mean?"

"We broke up. Well, I'd consider that a breakup since I did commit myself in a relationship with you three years ago. I find it very awkwa-"

"That's rich coming from you, Kit."

Singto might love the guy but there was no fucking way he'd listen about 'commitment' from a liar.

"Let's skip the dramatics and get to the point. I don't think it would be possible for us not to meet. The investment I have in Bright's company must meet my expectations. That's one of the reasons why I'm here. I need to make sure that I get my money's worth." When Krist nodded, he continued. "I want you back. That's the other reason. My market value more than doubled the last three years and I'm sure I can provide whatever it is that you desire."

Playing around with his turtle will not get him what he badly wants. He wanted Krist back. He'll get him back. No matter how much he had to pay, he'll fucking pay it twice the price.

The younger male might love his money rather than him but his wealth is HIS. It's a part of himself. Money is not a problem. Krist can take a shower or soak in a bathtub filled with money anytime. Singto doesn't care.

What he badly needs though is his Krist back. He wants the good boy who'd look at him with love-glossed eyes to return in his arms. He missed that boy.

He missed his Kit.

Krist placed his spoon down. "You're getting married."

A smirk played on his lips. Just as he expected. His turtle would still act like a white lotus despite the fact that his real personality has already been discovered. "I don't think that's a problem. You did fraternize with your boss."

"That was a mistake!"

Fuck! Why did that hurt?

"I'm that mistake!" He hissed.

As if he realized what he said, Krist calmed down and apologized. "I didn't mean that you're a mistake. I- I was happy when we were together. I was only saying that my choice to have a sexu-"

"It's okay. No need to explain." The red flush on Krist's eyes was making him uncomfortable.

Why does it feel like he's hurting Krist?

"What I want is still the same. You. We had six good months together and I'm sure you're aware that whatever I want, I get."

When Krist looked away, he continued in a whisper. "I can always force myself on you again, Kit."

Singto saw terror on the younger male's face. He didn't want Krist to remember exactly how they started but if he needed to use fear to get him back, he'd do so. "You know I can."

Fear written all over his face, Krist nodded. "I know. But I can't. Please, Singto. . . I. . . I'm not sure what to do. Can't we-"

"Submit yourself to me. That's it."

"Don't rush me. The rain is too heavy I can barely see the road. Huh? How am I supposed to know? Don't ask the impossible from me, Sing. Oh! Hang on." Godt saw a familiar face standing on an isolated bus stop at the other side of his lane. That couldn't be- oh shit! Like a man possessed, Godt rushed and took a u-turn. There was no fucking way he'd miss the opportunity to meet the person who had been Singto's wallpaper for years. Smoothly settling his car in front of the smaller male, he went back to his friend on the phone. "I'm going to give an advance birthday gift. Stay on the line and keep quiet. My new friend might find me disrespectful if I get distracted by your noise." When Singto gave a disgruntled 'hmm', he couldn't help but smirk. We'll see if his robot of a friend can still keep his robotic ways. Godt rolled down his window. "Hey!" He called Singto's 'turtle'. "The rain is not going to ...

Krist Without waiting for Krist to catch his breath, the snake-like alpha hauled him up. Grunting in pain, the omega glared at his buyers. He was totally unmindful of the lust his fiery gaze solicited from the men. "I'd be good if I were you. These men are rich and being bought by them is an honor any member of your kind should be proud of." The snake-like alpha's statement irritated Krist to no end. "My kind?! Don't look down on omegas, creep! Just because we are weaker than you doesn't give you the right to capture and sell us as if we are animals. People like you make me sick!" Instead of angering the alpha, Krist's taunting words were laughed at by his capturer as well as the other non-omega men in the room. "We'll see about how different you are compared to animals in heat when injected with heat inducers. After we take off this annoying collar of yours, these gentlemen here will definitely enjoy biting this delicate neck of yours w...

Singto Not too far from where he is standing with his grandmother, Singto can see his turtle being surrounded by fawning residents of the island as the fair young man strums his guitar and sings aloud. His eyes saw red when he noticed the infatuated looks both men and women throw towards the singing omega. Taking a deep calming breath, Singto controls the strong urge he has to snatch his mate and lock him up somewhere only he can see him. "Pffft!" A teasing laugh beside Singto woke him up from his reverie on how and where he'll 'stow away' his little turtle. Indifferently, the alpha glanced at the gleeful wise woman beside him. Still chuckling, Granny teasingly scoffed at Singto's jealousy. "No need to be so possessive, young man. Attractive as your mate may be, no one in the island would be stupid enough to dare and try to touch what you've marked as yours. The best these men and women can do is stare. No more, no less. N'Krist is yours. There ...
