JACS 9

 Hours turned into a day.

A day turned into days.

Days turned into a week.

A week turned into weeks.

Until it turned into a full month.

31 days in total since Singto left.

Still, Krist would stare at his phone when he got off work hoping that he'd receive even just a text message or a mail from his lover.

The caretakers of the house would prepare everything for him without a single order from his lips. Meals were prepared. Each corner was spick and span. There was nothing he could complain about.

And yet. . . And yet.  . . He feels so unhappy.

Unsatisfied.

It was as if everything around him turned gray. He could not even bring himself to fake a smile.

His mother was worried about him. Krist could only bring himself to call her and explain that he and Singto broke up. When asked why, he could only lie and say it was a mutual decision. He could not bring himself to say he was abandoned.

He could not say Singto left him without a single explanation why.

Just. . . He was just gone.

Still, Krist stayed in their house. Their home.

He couldn't leave. Not when every corner of the said establishment hold precious memories with Singto.

Not only that, he was hoping he'd return. He was hoping agains all hopes that Singto would find his way back to him.

So, he stayed like a good boy waiting for his master to arrive. His chest ached all the time. The need to simply escape and forget keeps on drowning him every night but he persevered. All in the hopes of getting back with Singto.

But. . .

That was then.

Now, he had decided to pack his bags.

Krist couldn't bear staying after what he found out. Not when Lila finally answered his call and told him that Singto knew he was only using the older male-only digging his claws to make him bleed gold.

Which is absurd!

Total bullshit!

Confusion and anger gripped his weakened chest. Another emotional blow and he'd topple over, dead on the ground.

Where that shit came from, he doesn't know. What he's sure of is that Singto didn't trust him. It didn't even take an ounce of effort from the older male to stick around and fight for him.

As if there was anything to fight for.

The phone call was brief. Didn't even last three minutes. Only a greeting left his lips when the female ordered him to stay away from her cousin and to keep his filthy paws off Singto's Armani. She said he already did enough damage-that she knew all along that he was nothing but a gold digger.

It pained him to hear her rebukes. Not a word of defense on his part was ever uttered. He only listened. Only quietly took in every painful blow Lila sent his way. What was the point? Singto already left him.

He's gone. For a full month now.

Without a word.

It was as if the half year they had was nothing but his hallucination, imagination. . A dream.

So, Krist decided to do the only thing that could preserve his sanity.

Leave.

Gaze hazy with tears, Krist could barely see through the pieces of clothing he dumped in his suitcase. But he continued. He couldn't stay here for another minute.

He'll forget everything about Singto. Each beautiful and bitter memories would be buried 6 feet below the ground the second he got on his feet.

It would take time. Heaven knows how long it would take but he'll move on.

Krist will get on with his life without Singto in it.

Still, the mere thought of not having the older male back painfully prick his heart but it would better with time. He might not be able to actually forget but he'd get used to the pain. Krist would get used to not having the love of his life.

"Sir are you going on a business trip?" Auntie Maria, one of the caretakers, was standing at the doorway and asked.

Wiping his tears, Krist turned towards the older female. "I'm leaving, auntie. Thank you so much for taking good care of me."

Surprise marred the woman's face. "Leaving?! But a weekly allowance has been set for your meals as well as the mainten-"

"It's okay. You can use it for your meals instead. Don't worry about me, auntie. Traveling has just been so tiring lately that I've decided to rent a small room near my workplace."

"Desmond can drive you everyday. It's all part of the bud-"

"I know. But I don't want to impose on you."

"We are only doing what we are being paid for."

Krist sighed. "I know. I'm not trying to make you lose your job. The funds will continue to flow as usual" He's more than sure of that. "I just need to move out."

The older woman sadly smiled at him. "I understand. You did a good job waiting for him."

Tears welled up in his eyes and in seconds, he was breaking down in front of Singto's hired help. Warm arms comforted him as his head was continuously patted.

"It's okay, darling. You did what you can. Come visit once in awhile when you missed him too much. I'm sure Mr. Ruangroj would like for you to keep everything even though what you had with him has ended."

Krist nodded his head.

He's not going to return anytime soon. Of that, he's more than certain.

"Another one? Oho! I'm having the thought my business keeps on growing because of you, Krist. Bringing you along in every business meeting is a great strategy!" Bright raised two thumbs up.

Knot hit his head while Tutah rolled his eyes.

"That old fart should not get any closer than a meter from you." Prem warned.

Krist showed them the piece of paper with scribbled numbers on it. "It was the son this time."

Tutah excitedly took the paper off his fingers. "OMG! He was a hottie! Can I have his number? Please. Please. Pretty pleeaase!!"

He simply shrugged his shoulders while Prem and Bright harassed Tutah. Krist doesn't really care.

For the past three years, receiving numbers and propositions had become a norm.

"You okay?" Knot asked.

Out of his friends, Knot understands him the most. The bigger male knew how bothered he had been when he started getting attention from men.

He wasn't gay to begin with. Not to mention he could not get it up for anyone- male or female.

For some reason, his body still exclusively belongs to one person.

Krist forced a smile. "It gets old."

"I did tell you wearing that silver ring on your finger will not work. Maybe you should try a wedding ring instead? I know how much you had to hold back from punching that asshole's face when he was leering at you."

True. His temper worsened the past years. There was even a time when he punched a transgender woman for touching his thigh while having a few drinks with his friends. That was one hell of a night.

"Katty called last night. I had no plans to tell you but I think you should know. The amazing stepdad of yours came back home drunk with a couple of friends. Luckily, Katty locker all doors and stayed inside despite the ruckus outside."

"What?!"

"I called the police and they placed him back behind bars."

Krist sighed in relief. His mother remarried three years ago-a couple of months after he left Singto's house. He tried to be happy for her but the man she tied the knot was an asshole. There were a number of times he forced himself on Katty which his sister was able to escape unscathed. Thank heavens for that.

When his mother died in a bus accident on her was to work, all her benefits and properties went to the drunkard. Including their house.

It was a great thing Knot agreed to act as his little sister's doting boyfriend for the last two years. The bastard was afraid of Knot and Katty got to stay at Knot's house without anyone questioning why.

"Did you tell Hans? His wife is on her 2nd trimester. He shouldn't worry about Katty and I." His big brother was about to have his second child.

"Katty did. She's already at my house, by the way."

"Thank you."

Knot ruffled his hair. "Were friends, Krist."

Yeah. The past three years were not easy but he was getting by. Krist was doing great because he had friends.

It's just a matter of time before he can really say he's contented even without Singto in his life.

Singto closed his eyes as he listened to Krist's silent breathing in his arms. Underneath the indigo sky, his fiancé nestled into his embrace. Such intimacy after a rough rumble beneath the sheets was what he looked forward to each time the younger male would have his nightly visit. If only this happens in the morning as well. The naked male sitting between his thighs nestled deeper in his arms. "Let's stay like this." "Hmmmnn." He whispered noncommittally. "This is nice." Succumbing to his infatuated heart, Singto buried his face on Krist's neck. He also wants to stay like this with the younger male. If it's just him, he'd lock his room and keep Krist with him. Regardless of the other's feelings. "You're not very talkative, Singto. Don't you like being with me?" The arms caging his fiancé to his chest tightened. "You know I do." "I need to beg you for a kiss every time I come by. You don't visi...

Fiat "Why can't I see my Phi? His Highness has arrived with P'Oaujun and the rest, right? I know that P'Krist was with them. Why can't I see him?" Bass impetuously asked. Fiat sighed. He is currently having dinner with Krist's younger brother at His Highness' dining room. At the moment, he doesn't have the heart to tell the young male with innocent eyes that his brother was almost illegally sold and raped. Not when they are in the middle of a delicious dinner. He also can't bring Bas to His Highness' room where his older brother is without permission from the room's owner or his mate. Which is next to impossible since P'Singto is cooped up inside his room with N'Krist. Being lovey dovey while the people outside their little world have to face problems for them is something only His Highness is capable of. I wonder how he does it? Such a man with no conscience! "I'm sorry Nong. I can't bring you to your brother. Pl...

Krist "You must be home before 12 P'Krist. Tomorrow is your 21st birthday and we do not know what will happen. What if-" Krist smoothly cuts off his younger brother's nag. "Stop worrying N'Gun. I'll be home by 12. Sheesh! It's just 10 past 7 in the evening and you're nagging me like I just have seconds left to be home on time. Just watch over N'Bas and make sure that he passes through his heat with no problem." He heard Gun sigh and smiled. This little brother of his is such a worrywart. If Bas wasn't in heat, Krist is sure that Gun would be next to him and nag at him in the flesh just to make sure that he's home on time since they are not sure if he'll have his heat as well. Yes, he hasn't had his heat yet despite being the eldest of the three at 20 (turning 21 in few hours) and they are not sure when he'll have it unlike Bas. At 18, his younger brother Bas was the first of the three to experience 'heat'. It...
